Since I was a little girl I have always loved creating things out of other things. For over thirty years I’ve made bed quilts and accessories out of other people’s scraps and cast-offs. Now this is fashionably known as ‘recycling’, and adele designs enjoys great satisfaction in re-using textiles to create beautiful scarves and rugs. Woollens are transformed into soft, velvety scarves lined with silk, and woollen rugs are pieced and quilted with viyella backings and satin edgings. The recycling ethic blends with style, mixing colours and textures to create a unique and tactile range.

As well as being environmentally friendly, adele designs donates a percentage from the sale of each item to a breast cancer support network.

The woollen scarves are exquisitely soft to the touch and are pieced in a range of colours to complement their sumptuous silk linings.  Each scarf is individually styled, and is created in a varied palate of colours and interesting textures. 

Rugs come in a variety of sizes and colours and are backed with patterned viyella, a fine mixture of wool and cotton. They are then quilted with a complementary wool thread.  In contrast to the texture of the wool, the rugs are bound with a satiny edge which gives a glamourous and refined finish.  Colours, textures and individual features create an original range, which is ideal as a special gift for your baby, your granny, your best friend, or just to spoil yourself!
